Central Christian College of the Bible is incorporated in Missouri as an ABHE accredited college. It is registered in the state of Kentucky as a foreign entity and approved by Kentucky’s Council on Postsecondary Education to operate an accredited extension site in Florence, Kentucky. The CCL Foundation is registered by CCCB in Ohio as a nonprofit LLC and in Kentucky as a foreign entity. CCL Foundation registered the CCL Network as a nonprofit LLC in Ohio and Russell School of Ministry in Kentucky as a nonprofit LLC and exempt religious college. Central has thirteen trustees who steward the mission of the college and its resources.

CCL Foundation employees work for Central under a management contract through which Central is paid $4,000 per month. Dr. David Fincher serves as the President of both Central and the CCL Foundation. CCL Foundation employees report to a Vice President in Cincinnati.

In addition to providing organizational and operational support, Central promotes the CCL Foundation through its relationships and reputation. For instance, the first matching gift commitment of $300,000 in 2019 was from a Central donor. Central’s Trustees have authorized Dr. Fincher and his team to coordinate the two organizations for maximum efficiency and productivity.

CCU has not provided direct financial support to Central or records regarding donors or alumni. CCU provided its campus to CCL Foundation at no cost while a suitable location was found. Some worship equipment, computers, furniture, library resources, and vehicles were purchased by Central.

For the first few months, checks were made payable only to CCCB to comply with counsel from legal and financial experts while waiting for necessary paperwork to be submitted to the IRS. Checks can now be made payable to Central, CCL Foundation, Russell School of Ministry, or CCL Network. Gifts are deposited into Heritage Bank accounts in Kentucky when mailed to either of these addresses:

Gifts designated for work in Cincinnati are tracked internally in Central's financials are are used only for the ongoing work in Cincinnati. Undesignated gifts mailed to Cincinnati or made out to CCL Foundation are used where needed most in Cincinnati.

Central is audited annually by CapinCrouse, a national firm specializing in nonprofit and higher education organizations. Because CCL Foundation is a “disregarded entity” of Central, all finances are contained in one audit. However, the Cincinnati financials are audited and reported separately within the audit. The last audit revealed no material weaknesses and was considered “unqualified” (i.e. without reservations).

Gifts of stock, grain, employee matching gift programs, estate plans, and charitable gift annuities, can support the work in Cincinnati. Contact Dick Hess ([email protected]) with questions.
