Getting Acquainted with the Christian Church Leadership Foundation

As I write this newsletter, folks in the Greater Cincinnati area are admiring, shoveling, and driving through freshly fallen snow—anywhere from 5-10 inches depending on the community. It’s beautiful, of course, but it has its downside. Traffic tie ups. School and business closings. Cancelled appointments. It’s not easy to get out.

It reminds me of the situation we’ve faced since launching the CCL Foundation. We were just getting started when the current pandemic began to spread across the globe. We planned to spend those early months visiting as many churches and individuals as we could to tell our story. But churches moved to online worship. Restaurants and other meeting places closed their doors. It was all very necessary, but it put a serious crimp in our plans. With the rollout of vaccines and the decrease in reported cases we’ve seen recently, we’re hopeful that by the end of the year we’ll see some light at the end of the tunnel. We look forward to the day when we can visit your church, meet you in person, and invite you to the Christian Church Leadership Center for a tour.

But what can be done until then? While many congregations have resumed in-person services with safety protocols, many others have not. So here are a few ways we want to help you become acquainted with the Christian Church Leadership Foundation until we can meet together safely.

Check out our website.

You can learn more about the CCL Foundation by visiting www.ccleadership.org. From there, you can access the websites of our various ministries: the Russell School of Ministry, the Christian Church Leadership Network, and the Elliott Library. Here you can discover more about our ministry, contact us, and make a secure, online gift.

Join me for a virtual tour.

I’ve enjoyed hosting virtual tours of the new Christian Church Leadership Center in Florence, Kentucky, just across the Ohio River from Cincinnati. Missions teams and individuals have joined me on a walkthrough of the facility. I’ve taken them through each room of the Center to show them where students meet for the Russell School of Ministry, where the work of the Christian Church Leadership Network is carried on, and how the shelves of the Elliott Library are being filled with nearly 50,000 volumes. Virtual tours allow the guests to ask questions and give me the opportunity to tell them more about our ministry. If you’d like to schedule a virtual tour, please call me at 513-273-1099.

Call or write anytime.

I’d love to hear from you. Please feel free to call me (513-273-1099) or write to me ([email protected]) anytime. I would be honored to get acquainted and to tell you more about our work and our plans for the future.

I look forward to the day when we can all safely gather together again. But until then, please feel free to take advantage of one or all of the above opportunities to get better acquainted with the Christian Church Leadership Foundation.
